Under the Sea Diorama tutorial

Zahreen made this super cute diroama card and also made a tutorial on how she made it! She has kindly given us permission to show the tutorial here too:) Thanks Zahreen!

Materials you will need:
under the sea set set from Digital Delights

2 sheets of cardstock measuring 9 1/2`` by 7 1/2`` (i used A4 cs cut to size)
1 sheet of cardstock measuring 8 1/2`` by 7 1/2`` (i used A4 cs cut to size)
acetate strip measuring 1/2`` by 7``
glitter and glue ( i used quickie glue pen)
score board and scoring tool ( i used Crafter's Companion Ultimate Pro)
craft knife, and some colouring medium ( i used Promarkers)

Step 1:
colour and cut your digis.
To make the underwater scene i printed and coloured the background scene measuring 6 3/4`` by 4 1/2`` twice coloured and cut, i printed the algae from the background several time to arrange around the frame, and i also used the mermaid and different seacreatures.

Apply glitter and leave to dry.

Step 2:
take the sheets of A4 cs measure and cut sheet A measuring 9 1/2`` by 7 1/2`` and
sheet B measuring 9 1/2`` by 7 1/2``as shown in the pic below
Sheet C measure and cut to 8 1/2`` by 7 1/2``

Step 3:
take both A and B measuring 9 1/2`` by 7 1/2`` and score at 1`` either side as shown in pic bellow (score line in white).

Step 4:
take C measuring 8 1/2`` by 7 1/2`` and score at 1/2`` either side as shown in pic bellow (score line in white).

Step 5:
Back to A which will be the from panel of the diorama
(i) measure 1`` from the score line on either side and draw a vertical line,
(ii) measure 1 3/4`` from the top and draw a horizontal line
(iii) measure 1 1/2`` from the bottom and draw a horizontal line
now you will have a rectangle in the middle where the lines meet

use a craft knife (like me) or if you are handy with your paper trimmer cut out the rectangle
it's the blue dotted line in the pic above and you will be left with and apperture measuring 5 1/2`` by 4 1/4``

Step 6:
C will be the middle panel,
(i) measure 1/2`` from the score line on either side and draw line
(ii) measure 1 1/2`` from top and bottom and draw lines
You will again have a rectangle, cut out the rectangle and you will be left with an apperture measuring
6 1/2`` by 4 1/2``. This apperture is bigger than the first one.

Step 7:
Take one of the background cut out and stick it on B which is the back panel, take care to stick it behind the appertures on A and C.

Step 8:
stick the second background digi on the bottom of panel C and arrange the mermaid, fishes, algae and seahorse. To hold some of the sea life in place use the accetated strip, stick it vertically and arrange the digi's on top using strong glue or tape.

Step 9:
fold along the score lines of B(back panel)
fold along the score lines of C (middle panel), apply some wet glue or red line sticky tape to the scored side, line up and stick to the scored side of B on the inside, so that C is inside B
fold along the score lines of A (front panel) apply glue and stick to the side of B on the outside.

Above is a top view of the diorama assembled

Step 10:
Arrange the remaining algae and sea creatures on the front panel and stick down.
final project:

A fabulous card and tutorial!!
